‘Heaven Scent’ Flower Festival at Gilbert White’s House
The Team:- MAVIS MEACHEN,  SUE GIBBONS,  PENNY WEBSTER and JEAN WARREN.

Dear Mavis
I am writing, on behalf of the trustees of Gilbert White’s House, to thank you very much indeed for the huge amount of work and incredible imagination and inspiration which went into the ‘Heaven Scent’ flower festival at Gilbert White’s House this weekend.  We had our quarterly trustee meeting today, and the trustees were so hugely impressed by the beauty and variety of the exhibition, that I felt I should write to express their, and my appreciation.  I do hope your members enjoyed creating those wonderful displays as much as we all, and our visitors, enjoyed admiring them.   Please convey our appreciation and thanks to them, and our admiration for their skill.
With very best wishes
Rosemary Irwin  Chairman of Trustees
Gilbert White’s House & The Oates Museum

Dear Sue,

Sorry it has taken a while , and I am sure you will have already had many comments , but just wanted to say I thought the festival was totally stunning.

I have had wall to wall visitors these last weeks but just left them to it on the Sunday afternoon and had a wonderful time at the house.  Your  planning of the whole house with Penny and Mavis?  was wonderful and all the designs by our members really inspired and fantastically executed.  The talent of all who took part was apparent and our club excelled themselves.  My husband was with me and I think he has viewed my hobby in a totally new light so impressed was he !!  I also enjoyed bumping into some of our members and having a chat it really recharged my batteries . Myra and I even got our picture taken by some publicity photographer admiring the displays.  In fact  I not only feel impressed but a little depressed when I see how much there is to learn and it is indeed a bit daunting.!
Thank you and everyone involved,  for all your hard work and giving so much pleasure.

 Warmest regards

 Morag M
